Information collected

Customer follow forms may collect name, email address, phone number, truck followed, consent status, and unsubscribe status.

Owner tools may store truck profile details, location posts, campaign history, subscription status, and operational metadata.

How information is used

Data is used to show nearby trucks, manage owner updates, send opted-in email and text alerts, and process billing status.

Food Truck AF does not require sensitive customer data to operate.

Text messaging (SMS) program

If a customer opts in to text alerts, Food Truck AF sends recurring automated location and deal alerts from the truck they follow. Message frequency varies and message and data rates may apply.

Customers can reply STOP at any time to stop messages, or HELP for help.

We do not sell or share mobile opt-in information or consent with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. Text messages are delivered through our messaging provider (Twilio) solely to send the alerts the customer requested.

Site measurement and analytics

Food Truck AF measures a short list of product steps so the site can be made clearer and easier. These named events include starting sign-in, opening a truck, starting a follow, viewing a QR code, and attempting to go live. A named event may include general technical context such as device type, screen size, approximate region, and referring site. Food Truck AF does not collect a general stream of page views, clicks, or scrolling.

This measurement is provided by PostHog, which processes the information on our behalf and does not use it for its own advertising. Measurement requests are served from foodtruckaf.com rather than from a separate tracking domain.

PostHog is configured in permanent cookieless mode. It does not set a PostHog cookie or store a PostHog identifier in local storage or session storage. PostHog may create a privacy-preserving hash on its servers to group activity without placing an identifier on the browser.

Personal details are removed before measurement data is sent. Email addresses, phone numbers, and unsubscribe or sign-in links are stripped out, and no measurement is collected on the text alert opt-in page, the unsubscribe page, or these legal pages.

Food Truck AF does not use this data for advertising, does not sell it, and does not combine it with information bought from other companies.

Browsers that send a "Do Not Track" signal are not measured. You can also turn product measurement off using Analytics choices in the site footer. That choice is saved only in this browser as a yes-or-no preference; it is not an identifier and must be set again in another browser or device.

Autocapture, page-view tracking, heatmaps, and session recording are not enabled. If that ever changes, this policy will say so before broader collection starts.

Sharing and providers

Production may use service providers for hosting, maps, payments, database/storage, email and text delivery, and site measurement.

Stripe handles payment information; Food Truck AF should not store raw card numbers.

Site measurement is handled by PostHog, as described in the site measurement section above. Opt-in and consent information is never included in measurement data.

Mobile opt-in and consent information is never sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing purposes.

Choices

Customers may unsubscribe from alerts using the product opt-out flow, by replying STOP to a text alert, by using the unsubscribe link in an email alert, or by emailing admin@foodtruckaf.com.

Product measurement can be turned off at any time from Analytics choices in the site footer. Questions about measurement can be sent to admin@foodtruckaf.com.

Requests to access, correct, or delete personal data can be sent to admin@foodtruckaf.com.
